Save Backup Guide

This guide explains how to back up your game saves before updating or migrating to prevent progress loss.

Solution

Singleplayer Save

1. Exit the game

2. Open the local SaveGames folder

3. Copy the folder of the world you want to back up

4. Paste it to your desktop, another drive, or cloud storage

Server Save

1. Notify all players to log off

2. Stop the server

3. Locate the SaveGames folder of PalServer

4. Copy the entire server save directory

5. Save it to a safe location

6. Then proceed with updates, mod cleaning, or server restarts
